| For
a variety of reasons we thought it appropriate to release a certain amount of
disinformation concerning the sudden demise of the Duke Skorich Show back in
February. Now that Duke is safe, the truth can finally be told.
We were as surprised as you were by the sudden and
unexpected "cancellation" of the Duke Skorich Show. But given the
circumstances, we had to invent a cover story for Duke's disappearance.
In February, immediately after what turned out to
be Duke's final broadcast, the KUWS studios were invaded by a gang of black
clad, heavily armed men who identified themselves as "Federal Homeland
Security Police" who briefly displayed a document that they claimed was a
warrant for Duke's arrest signed by the Attorney General. We cannot verify this
as we were only permitted to see this alleged warrant for about 3 seconds.
Fortunately, Patty and Ken had already left the
KUWS studios. However Duke was handcuffed and a black cloth bag placed over his
head before he was hurried out of the Holden Fine Arts Center in front of the
stunned KUWS staffers and into a waiting unmarked van. Before leaving, the
"Federal Police" threatened us with arrest for "harboring a known
terrorist sympathizer" and warned us about making any public comments
concerning Duke's arrest.

Consequently we were forced to invent the story
about Duke canceling his own program. During the past months our legal staff has
been engaged in a, now successful, attempt to have Duke released from a federal
prison where he was held along with "American Taliban" John Walker
Lindh and Zacarias Moussaoui, the French citizen accused of being the 20th hijacker in the conspiracy behind the September 11 attacks.
As you can imagine, our efforts to obtain Duke's
release were expensive and for this reason we will soon begin a series of fund
raising events and broadcasts to cover a part of these expenses.
Those of you who wish to contribute are encouraged
to send a check or money order made payable to the Duke Skorich Legal Fund,
P.O.Box 911, Bayfield, WI 54814. We will also be setting up an online PayPal
account for those of you who would like to contribute by direct electronic funds
transfer using your credit card. |
